The Humane Society of Pasco County Inc., is a non-profit organization founded in 1982.
We began with a small group of volunteers and a big dream to create a no-kill shelter for Pasco County’s displaced animals. With a dedication to our vision, we worked tirelessly to clear our property in rural West Pasco County Florida.
Our cats and young puppies are housed in a small trailer. It is a bright and friendly environment and most importantly ensures they receive the attention they need. The trailer has undergone many renovations over the year and we are always in the process of trying to improve and expand to meet our ever increasing need for space and resources.
Our adult dogs have been provided some of the largest kennels available. Each dog has an over-sized kennel which is in a large fenced area with mature treas. Each of our dogs is given the opportunity to interact, run and play during the day. It is essential for their well being that in addition to food and shelter, they are given love during this transition to their forever family.
We rely on a group of dedicated volunteers to keep our shelter running. Of course, the best job is playing with the animals and watching them leave to their forever homes!
Just as our animals are dependent on you for their survival, we are dependent on YOU. Without your contribution in time and funding, we cannot continue to do our valuable work.
We have come a long way since we started, but there is so far to go. We are trying to complete a hurricane safe shelter which is critical to a our pets well beings. It takes funding. It takes supplies. It takes skill. We are planning a new building wit more space and amenities for our dogs and cats. We need your help. Together, we can make these visions a reality.
